In winter 2002/spring 2003 an injection experiment in a depth of about 4000 m is carried out north of Berlin. The aim is to enhance the porosity to yield geothermal energy. The injection will take place both in porphyr as well as in sandstone. Although only weak seismic events are expected 12 seismic instrument will be deployed to record induced seismicity.
